Patient and Family Support
Patients and families coping with medical procedures, pain, and terminal illnesses need support so they can make effective decisions and focus on the needs of the patient. In addition to the support groups at The Gathering Place, Providence TrinityCare Hospice provides services that support all other aspects of the patient and their families' lives, based on their need. For assistance with these, or any other needs, please call the Hospice Team.
Patient Care Assistance
For patients who are uninsured or underinsured, Providence TrinityCare Hospice provides Patient Care Assistance to make sure that everyone has any and all of our hospice services available, including our TrinityKids Care program and Palliative Care services program. Supported by the Providence TrinityCare Hospice Foundation, no one is ever turned away because they don't have insurance or they cannot pay.
Necessities Of Life
Illnesses and injuries can quickly sap the financial resources of the patient and their families, even for those patients who have insurance. Our Necessities of Life program helps patients and their families pay for basic essentials when other resources have been depleted. This program, supported by the Providence TrinityCare Hospice Foundation, can help pay for rent, phone bills, utilities, food, medicine and supplies, or even medical co-payments. Necessities of Life can also help pay partial funeral expenses.
Palliative Care treats the pain associated with medical treatments (such as chemotherapy) or with serious or life-threatening illnesses, and in supporting the patient's family as they help care for their loved one. Palliative care works to provide comfort to the patient and help them enjoy life as much as possible, with dignity and respect.
A seriously ill child or teenager severely impacts the family. TrinityKids Care provides care and support to infants, children and adolescents with terminal illnesses in Los Angeles and Orange counties in the familiar surroundings of their home. TrinityKids Care also supports and cares for families and friends with emotional, spiritual and family counseling.
