Stacey Matsuura, M.D., attended Stanford University as an undergraduate and received a medical degree from UC Davis School of Medicine. He fulfilled his residency requirements at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance.

A board-certified physician in family practice, Dr. Matsuura emphasizes the benefits of preventive medicine in keeping the family healthy.

Dr. Matsuura is married with two sons and two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and living a healthy lifestyle.

Dr Matsuura removed a growth from might hand in such a way that it was absolutely and completely pain free! He explained each step clearly and completely before performing them. Fantastic job! His assistant deserves credit as well! She was particularly good at calming my fears associated with the procedure!Great teamwork!

Given that I am over 75-years old, a lot of providers seem to come to a pre-conceived conclusion that all of the issues that concern me, "come with age," instead of listening and thoroughly analyzing my individual case. This provider was slightly better than most, but I wasn't sure that he cared enough to go the extra mile to really address all of my concerns and help me feel the best that I possibly can.

Dr. Matsuura is interested in my condition and well being. He answers every question to the fullest and is responsive to changes in test results. Although he's a busy doctor, I am his focus and I don't feel rushed during the appointment. His nurse is the same. They make a great team. My thanks to all.

Dr. Matsuura is a real good diagnostician and whenever I ask questions he has a very good explanation and comes up with good Rx that matches my complaint or an explains why he cannot do more such ad prevent memory loss or short term memory loss. Terrific doctor!

EXCELLENT SERVICE from Dr. Matsuura and [...]. During the routine visit, I shared my concerns about a cyst on my chest that was growing larger. Dr. Matsuura immediately identified that it had a small infection. I requested to have the cyst drained and Dr. Matsuura immediately took care of it for me. [...] immediately prepped the procedure room, Dr. Matsuura immediately began the procedure and in no time, the cyst was drained and I was advised how to care for the incision. The next morning, I followed Dr. Matsuura's direction and everything went well as explained. I am so pleased that I was not required to setup a separate appointment for this procedure. I am so grateful to Dr. Matsuura and [...] for their care and professionalism.

care provider neglected to mention that i needed to sign up for mychart in the facility, and that doing so outside of the facility would require jumping through hoops. I spent over an hour going back and forth between helpdesk, the facility, and health information management to get the appropriate documents and test results.

I was sent an email that I needed to come in to redraw blood for another potassium test & I emailed back on 10/27: "May I just come in at any time or do I need an appointment? Does this test require fasting?" I have not heard back from anyone.

My ear was hurting, I was glad that I was able to get an appt right away but the doctor did not take care of my problem. He gave me a prescription that did not work. I went back the following week and saw Dr. [...]. He cleaned out my ear and the pain is gone !!

I like my doctor and doctor assistant. I hate the office business model. It's too difficult to get an appointment, and if i have a minor issue or injury, there are no available appointments and i am referred to urgent care. [...] Also, i just had blood work, but all I get is several reports in MyChart that are difficult to understand, and the doctor does not followup with a call or email to say that everything is okay or not okay. It would be nice to at least get an email or txt or mail that summarizes my results in an understandable format. Thanks.

During my last visit [...] blood was drawn which apparently was not ordered by the doctor. Being that my veins are extremely hard to find, it first was attempted by the Medical Assistant who asked if he could draw the blood from the back of my hand which I refused. He then had a RN come in to draw the blood. When I didn't see my labs on my patient portal, I called to asked and was told that labs were not ordered. Therefore I was inconvenienced of having three to four vials drawn for no reason. I would appreciate if the staff would verify first that labs were ordered before actually doing the work. I am someone that bruises easily on bad blood draws.

I thinkm like most doctors they are busy-booked solid. My last two doctors talked a bit more easily and spend a more relaxed time...but I suspect their practices were not as booked, which may reflect on my doctors popularity, which is a good thing overall.

I would like to have a better understanding of my blood/test results. Do not understand the test details mailed to me from My Chart. I will take the print out and discuss it with Mr. Matsuura on my next scheduled appointment.

Very disappointed in getting referrals. Send fax requesting referral...no answer. Asked the Doctor for referral in office and received 2 from receptionist after asking for it again. She had to get info from Doctor' assistant.

Waited 45 minutes to get into the examining room. Designated nurse assistant to Doctor left for lunch and set up another assistant to finish up morning appointments. Communication must not have been too good. Waited 45 minutes. After Doctor did come into room he had to go find an assistant to administer a pap test.
