Our cancer team is comprised of surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nurses, and support staff working together to provide high quality medicine with exceptional individual care and the best possible outcomes.
Our 12-bed inpatient cancer unit is staffed by compassionate ONS certified nurses, who are highly experienced in treating patients with cancer. Their years of experience make them great patient advocates, and they provide care that is unmatched. Our patients and their loved ones find comfort in knowing they can receive their cancer care so close to home.
Providence Tarzana Medical Center also provides infusion and radiation oncology services, both in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Our infusion centers are professional yet warm places, where patients can receive intravenous infusions, blood transfusions, including infusion for osteoporosis and multiple sclerosis, as well as chemotherapy, IV antibiotics, steroids, and immunoglobulin. All infusions are administered by our medical staff of physicians and nurses, who also monitor each patient individually to make sure they are responding well to treatment. Each center is set up with to create a comfortable environment for our patients needs while receiving treatment.
Our full range of radiation treatment options provide state-of-the-art therapies for our patients in their own communities. Like our cancer care, radiation oncology care is provided in an interdisciplinary setting, with close consultation among each patient's Board Certified oncologist, surgeon, pathologist and radiation oncologist to determine the best, individualized treatment and closely monitor the results. These physicians work as a team with dedicated cancer nurses, rehabilitation and physical therapists, nutritionists, case managers and social workers to make sure that each patient receives the most comprehensive and highest quality care possible
