Providence Access to Care Program
As people of Providence, we have established an access to care program to assist uninsured individuals and families in accessing healthcare services, community resources, and information at no cost.
Many hard-working but low-income individuals and families cannot afford insurance and do not receive it from their employers, as a result they often forego vital primary care. Our Community Care Coordinators are based out of each of our three hospitals, Holy Cross, Saint Joseph and Tarzana, to help connect individuals with area services and to find information about health services including:
- Applying for Medi-Cal or other financial programs
- Providing a referral to a local community clinic
- Assisting with access to community resources
- Identifying necessary care by a specialist
We are actively seeking specialist physicians to partner with us to provide pro-bono care to those uninsured patients needing a specialty consult once a primary care home has been established for the patient.
