Outpatient Therapy

Our outpatient therapy services include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy provided in our well-equipped gyms, private treatment rooms and out in the community to meet the needs of the patients.

We offer prompt scheduling with appointments from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Call 310-514-5370 for more information or to make an appointment. A referral from your physician is required for all services.

Outpatient Rehabilitation Services

Neurological Rehabilitation

Physical, occupational and speech therapists utilize advanced skills and the latest technology in the rehabilitative treatment for neurological diagnoses such as stroke, brain injury, Parkinson's/movement disorders and balance disorders. The team focuses on restoring function, balance and independence in the home and community.

Orthopedic and Sports Injury Rehabilitation

Therapists use the latest modalities, manual techniques and one-on-one individualized treatment sessions to decrease pain and restore lost function related to injury, trauma and surgery.

Hand Rehabilitation

Certified hand therapists create individualized programs that include manual therapy, custom splinting, modalities and education to improve function and reduce pain. Work conditioning and functional training are emphasized.


Certified lymphedema specialists have expertise in treating both primary and secondary lymphedema. We use an interdisciplinary approach with wound care and treatment of secondary complications for involved/severe cases.

Oncology Rehabilitation

Our therapists have received advanced training in evaluating and treating side effects and the after effects of cancer treatment including: weakness/fatigue, pain, post-mastectomy shoulder pain, lymphedema, loss of function, and dysphagia, and offer wellness/prevention programs.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapists focus on evaluation and treatment of patients who have impaired communication skills, cognitive skills and swallow function due to stroke, brain injury and other illnesses. Therapy may include expressive and comprehension exercises, oral motor strengthening exercises for speech and swallow function, memory and attention tasks. Use of traditional or computer-based testing and treatment programs assists patients in recovering their maximal independence.

Vision Therapy Program

Specialized therapists provide vision evaluation and treatment for patients who have acquired vision deficiencies after a stroke, brain injury or other illness or injury. Referral to neuro-optometry may be required. Low-vision evaluation and therapy is also available for persons with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. This program is not intended to replace regular eye exams or routine corrective lenses.

Driver Rehabilitation Program

Our comprehensive Driver Rehabilitation Program is designed to help individuals needing specific skill building, modifications, or practice to return to safe driving due to injury, illness or age-related changes. Driver Rehabilitation is an on and off road assessment and training program designed to help individuals return to independent driving. This program is not typically covered by many insurances.

Big and Loud Program

Our specialty trained physical and speech therapists provide advanced assessment and treatment for Parkinson patients and patients with Parkinson-like movement disorders.

Center for Optimal Aging

Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro offers a unique program to evaluate aging seniors or those aging with chronic disability as it relates to safety and independence at home and in the community. The outpatient center features a multidisciplinary assessment team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, registered dieticians and geriatric care managers focused on the needs of older adults who reside in the community. Call 310-514-5370 for more information or to make an appointment.
