Lawrence D. Tran, MD, is board certified in family medicine. He received his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Vietnam. His residency was completed at both the University of Miami and UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Tran has held academic appointment for many years as an assistant clinical professor of medicine at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Tran has recently been selected as a designated civil surgeon for US Citizenship and Immigration Services, Los Angeles District. In addition, Dr. Tran is a qualified medical evaluator for the state of California. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Tran's clinical interests include office surgeries; immigration physicals; workers compensation; school, sports and DMV physicals; travel medicine; weight loss; smoking cessation; urgent care; and comprehensive women's health with emphasis on risk management issues.
Dr. Tran is a State-Only Family Planning Program (SOFP) Provider, a Family Planning, Access, Care and Treatment Program (PACT) Provider , a Vaccines for Children (VFC) Provider, and a Clinical Trials Principal Investigator.
