Trustee John Huarte Honored by Heisman Trophy Trust

John enjoyed a spectacular senior season in 1964 under first-year Irish coach Ara Parseghian, completing
114 of 205 passes for 2,062 yards and 16 touchdowns. Notre Dame finished the season 9-1, losing only to the University of Southern California. For 10 years, John played professional football for teams that included the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. He retired in 1975 and now presides as president and CEO over one of the largest distributorships of granite, marble and ceramic tile in the western United States, Arizona Tile.
John and his wife, Eileen, who has been a member of the Irene Dunne Guild since 1995, have supported
Saint John’s mission as generous donors for many years, and he has served as a Saint John’s Health Center Foundation trustee since 2000.
