Edwin Jacobs, M.D., is board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. Dr. Jacobs is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, a position he’s held since 1992. He is also the laboratory director at Providence Medical Institute East Valley Hematology & Oncology in Burbank.
Dr. Jacobs has received awards that include the California Institute for Cancer Research Fellowship Award, the UCLA Alumni Association Distinguished Scholar Award and the Stafford L. Warren Medal. In addition, he is affiliated with several organizations, including the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating.
