When all is said and done, says board-certified internist Stanley Golden, MD, it's important we make a difference in the lives of others. For Dr. Golden, medicine has allowed him to do just that. He enjoys educating patients about their health and the aging process, and caring for them through the different stages of their lives.

Dr. Golden received his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Mass., and went on to complete his residency at Long Beach V.A. Medical Center in Long Beach, Calif.

Outside of the office Dr. Golden enjoys exercising, sports, movies and reading.

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety. However, language that may contain profanity, slander, libel or private health information is removed. Comments reflect the views and opinions of patients. Comments are not endorsed by, nor do they necessarily reflect the views of, Providence.

Dr. Golden is an excellent doctor! I've been seeing him for 10-years!!!

Dr. Golden is very respectful and knowledgeable. he listens to whatever I have to say and responds or asks more questions. The only thing that I,would like improved is for him to spend more time with me answering my questions and asking me more questions I don't think it is his fault, however, he is overloaded with patients and can only spend 15 minutes with each.

I had to change my appointment and i ended up cancelling because they only had one available two weeks later.

listened to what I had to say and was very helpful as always.....Dr. Golden has always been very thorough and helpful.

Dr. Golden has always addressed my concerns with genuine care.

I came in with a [...] fever. Dr. Golden saw me right at my scheduled appointment time, was very precise and quickly did the tests he thought were the most important, and I got diagnosed and prescribed an antibiotic therapy shortly afterward. I was extremely happy and impressed with how fast and how efficient the whole office was, how attentive the staff were, and how easy the doctor was to communicate with.

when health issues arose there was prompt response and care. doctor is very courteous and polite.

He is a top notch doctor, competent and efficient without seeming very rushed, though I know he has a very demanding schedule.

Dr. Golden is one of the best doctor's. I have had

Dr.Golden lacks of compassion for patients, did not take the time to really check my problem and left the room without letting me know he was done, I waited for a few minutes thinking that he was coming back. poor bedside manners.

I am so happy with Dr. Stanley Golden and his team. During my first appointment I knew that I could trust him to take care of my medical needs. I must say that I had begun to be frustrated with the lack of caring that I received at the Slauson location. Thankfully, the Practical Manager, [...] took charge of finding a provider who could meet my needs. I cannot express enough how blessed I feel. Before I became a patient with Providence, I had private insurance and had established a 20 year relationship with my former doctor. I can honestly say I was not only devastated, but I feared that I would not get the reliable care that I had received from my private primary provider!! So to meet Dr. Stanley Golden and his team I knew that God had heard my cry and blessed me with this team! Dr. Golden is very knowledgeable, compassionate and laser focused on his patients care. Dr. Golden and his team truly makes you feel if your their only patient because his team and office are all in sync and thorough regarding any and all your health care needs!! [...] Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I truly have found a permanent home with Dr. Golden and his team!! God Bless Each and Every One Of You [...]

Always feel comfortable discussing my problems with Dr. Golden. He seems to care.

Since 1994 I have had a very good experience.

I have had two bad experiences with heart palpitations because of problems of discontinuing with a beta blocker before a replacement was provided. I had one bad experience with trying to make an appmt. at the hospital for a biopsy when it was the responsibility of the pcp to make that appmt. The pcp office insisted it was my responsibility, when the hospital told me 3 different times it was NOT mine, but that of the pcp office.

The experience was good

I always receive excellent care from Dr. Golden and the staff at the PMI Axminster Westchester office.

takes months to get an appointment

I was well attended what I really needed.

Dr. Golden and staff are knowledgeable, friendly and informative. I have already recommended this group to friends and family when in search of medical care.

Dr. Golson is the most kind, caring, compassionate doctor I've ever had. If it wasn't for him I don't know where I would be in my life. He's the reason I've succeeded in my life. I thank God every day.

I feel like I am just one more item in an assembly line of patients. I am still waiting to receive a referral - desperately needed - that was supposedly being issued that day.

[...] this was my first timeseeing Dr Golden, so he did not have medical records from my previous doctor.

Extremely professional!

I've been a patient of Dr. Golden for over 30 years. I really respect his knowledge and the way he treats his patients.

I use My Chart frequently and Dr Golden always answers immediately or within a reasonable time.

This experience was for the purpose of getting blood and urine samples, an ekg, and chest xray for my lung cancer surgery in the next week. All was done in a professional manner. My only complaint is that the imaging center in the same building was not doing chest xrays and I had to drive to another area to get one.

The very best!

Dr. gden. has always been a good and caring doctor.

Everyone was timely, efficient and pleasant.

Very good

I hadn't gotten a flu shot this year and forgot to ask Dr. G. for it. I called the office the next business day and was easily able to get an appointment with the nurse to give it to me.

Dr. Golden seemed very robotic and in a hurry. He did not offer a flu shot as I've gotten in the past with other doctors. He did not do a prostate exam which I've always gotten with a physical in the past. I inquired about being put back on [...] and he has not responded yet. At least he was more punctual than my other doctors.

For approximately the past 6 years I have been seeing doctors at Providence and [...] once a year to have my blood checked and have 2 prescriptions refilled. The prescriptions are for [...] 90 count with one refill (I take one half of the lowest dose available daily) and vicodin for sciatica, 20 per year, which I use very sparingly). This year I saw Dr. Golden for the first time. He spent about 5 minutes with me (at the most) listened to my breathing and left. His helper [...] said the prescription for [...] will be called in, I asked if it was for a one year supply and was told that it would be. Then I asked what about the vicodin prescription. [...] said "we'll call you when the blood test results are in". I said the blood test has nothing to to with sciatica or the prescription. I got the feeling she just wanted to get me out of there but I stayed put. Then she said vicodin is not on my chart. I said it was there for the past 6 years and sciatica is still on my chart, what happened? She left the room to find out and a while later the guy who took my blood sample came in with the prescription for vicodin (from Dr. Golden). When I went to the pharmacy for the [...] I was shocked to find that it was for 30 count and one refill, instead of 90 and one refill. I looked at the results on MyChart and there was no significant changes (there hasn't been a change in dosage in 6 years). I called [...] and was told that it's up to the doctor. So, what is his reasoning? Since there has been no change in the dosage for all these years (and I'm taking the lowest dosage possible) why do I have to spend 3 times as much per year for office visits and blood tests (a 5 minute visit at that). [...] Very disappointing to say the least. The guy who took my blood sample warned me to make sure I got a years supply [...]
