Could a blood test detect cancer at its earliest stages?

A recent study shows that an increase in certain amino acids, detectable through a blood test, could be an early indicator of pancreatic cancer. Recently, Anton Bilchik, MD, PhD, the Institute’s chief of medicine and chief of the gastrointestinal research program, was asked to provide his expertise on the findings, which could mean a breakthrough in the fight against pancreatic cancer.
