At Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, we are committed to the health and wellness of you and your baby, providing top quality maternity care during your pregnancy, labor and birth, and through your postpartum period.
Our Women’s Pavilion, which opened in summer 2011, offers patients new state-of-the-art labor and delivery suites along with two dedicated Cesearn Operating Rooms. The Women’s Pavilion also includes a 12-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for premature and high-risk babies. This provides the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys with their first NICU, one designed to provide visiting parents with privacy for precious family time. And for high-risk moms who must be hospitalized well before delivering, Providence Holy Cross has developed an antepartum care program to meet their special needs.
Skilled Obstetrics Care for Your Special Event
Hundreds of babies are born each month in the Providence Holy Cross labor and delivery rooms. Our experienced, board-certified Obstetrics Team, which includes physicians, skilled mother-baby nurses and lactation consultants are among the best and help make this a healthy, joyous event while providing the personal, private time your family needs to bond and get to know one another.
We are dedicated to the health of the babies from those first seconds. Skin-to-skin contact is encouraged at birth and mother-father-baby bonding is a priority. Babies spend very little time in the nursery – they spend their days and nights in mom’s private room.
Nationally Recognized Obstetrics Close to Home
Providence Holy Cross maternity care in the San Fernando Valley is recognized as being in the top five percent nationally by national health care ratings organization, HealthGrades, and has been reported as providing the best maternity services by the Daily News. In 2007, Providence Holy Cross was one of only 59 hospitals nationally to receive a "Baby-Friendly" Hospital Designation by Baby-Friendly USA, under a global program sponsored by the World Health Organization and United Nations Children's Fund to promote breast-feeding. Our medical staff is dedicated to helping you along your journey of motherhood, providing a healthy start for your baby, and supporting your family.
