Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety. However, language that may contain profanity, slander, libel or private health information is removed. Comments reflect the views and opinions of patients. Comments are not endorsed by, nor do they necessarily reflect the views of, Providence.

I was transferring from another physician and met Jamie. As this location was pretty busy, I had to wait 2 months to set up an appt. However it was all worth it. The system was really well organized and the service was excellent. Jamie foliowed up immidietely after the visit to make sure I have all the care I needed. I'm so impressed with the service!!

I always had good experiences with my care health

Jamie W. Wu, NP is amazing! She's been monitoring my prenatal care and is in constant communication with me. I appreciate the time she dedicates to me and my baby. She is professional, sweet, courteous, compassionate, respectful, non-judgemental, patient and supportive. I wish she would be delivering my baby.

I am pregnant with my first child. While this should be an exciting and joyful time my meeting with the nurse left both my husband and I very unsettled. We were not able to see a doctor (neither my regular gynecologist nor another in the group), only a nurse practitioner. At that, everything I have read says you should go in for your first exam at 6-8 weeks and they would not give me an appointment until 10 weeks. Additionally I was not aware my gynecologist of 4 years had joined a group until this information was sprung on me mid-meeting with 3 nurses standing around in a tiny room. It was very disconcerting to find out that I would need to rotate between 6 doctors for the duration of my pregnancy (rather than having 1 lead doctor that gets to know you and your needs well). Even more disconcerting was the knowledge that it would be a roulette of whichever doctor just happened to be on call when I go into labor. At a time that is unsettling and a bit scary, although joyful, my husband and I found the entire meeting incredibly unsettling and disappointing.

I absolutely love Jaimie. She has been amazing answering all my questions as a new mom. She is always easy to get a hold of and cares for me and my husband and our baby.

I went in for my first appointment, my husband and I just recently found out that we were pregnant, I was told my husband should come with me so we would be given a chance to get all of our questions answered. I waited for almost an hour in the exam room waiting for a room to open up that had the sonogram equipment. I was told that my husband wasn't able to come back while we were doing the sonogram. My husband took off work to come in with me for the appointment and he never left the lobby. The NP distributed the sonogram and had a very concerned look on her face, she seems very new at giving these. I wasn't even certain after 5 minutes if I was pregnant. She then proceeded to tell me that there was a potential that I could be having twins, however followed up with that there was only 1 heart beat which could mean a number of things. She never asked if I had questions, she said it was two early to determine anything and suggested I go to Torrance to get a more clear sonogram with better imaging equipment. I left very confused and it was an unsettling appointment. I decided to follow up with an OB because I can't believe that I never go to even meet the OB. I will see how the next appointment goes before deciding to stay or leave Providence Medical.

Jamie Wu is always there to answer any questions or concerns i have.

Jamie was kind, thorough, listened well, and answered my questions.

Extremely difficult getting an appointment and getting one right away. The schedulers do not seem to know simple things. As an example I wanted an appointment to confirm a pregnancy. I am 38 years old but the scheduler wanted my first appointment to be when I would be four months pregnant.... I told her I need to come in before then because of my advance maternal age. Her reply "I don't know. I just schedule appointments"
