Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety. However, language that may contain profanity, slander, libel or private health information is removed. Comments reflect the views and opinions of patients. Comments are not endorsed by, nor do they necessarily reflect the views of, Providence.

Dr. Eisenberg treats you like a family member. Carefully went over hx and previous lab results and took the time to really explain results and implications.

I felt Dr. Eisenberg was condescending and too busy to call me about test results. I had to call several times.

Dr Eisenberg always makes me feel relaxed in his office, whether I'm there for a problem or routine care. I chose him because he could make me laugh even though I was in severe pain. (Besides, he's a smart, quick-thinking,compassionate doctor and an excellent diagnostician.)

I thought everything connected with my visit to Dr. Eisenberg was excellent. He is a very busy doctor, but found the time to see me when I had a heart incident that needed examination and discussion.

Dr. Eisenberg is an incredibly caring and personable physician, who is at the top of his field. As my cardiologist beginning in 2003, he prevented a pending heart attack and likely saved my life. He is amazingly thorough, funny, with great attention to detail. I have sent friends to Dr. Eisenberg and will continue to do so. His staff is also caring, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with.

This is the second time I had a bad experience with this doctor. the first time he was an hour late and spent 5 minutes with me. this time he laughed when I told him I was getting treated for sleep apnea. he also said my heart murmur was gone after checking my heart beat for 1 minute or less. I was very disappointed.

The care is fine, but the Providence record keeping is atrocious. My record has several inaccuracies (some serious) and I found it impossible to get them corrected even after several tries. The problem is only partially one of my provider; it is systemic to the Providence record keeping system.

Every appointment I have has always run late - - usually 30 minutes to an hour. And that does not include the time finally in the room waiting for the doctor. I always feel that I am rushed through my appointment when I finally see the doctor. Fortunately it wasn't always this way but has seemed to get worse through the years. This only adds to my anxiety before I see the doctor. I walked out after this last time without really any definitive answers to the health dilemma I was having then. I like this doctor and have been seeing him for many years after a recommendation from my best friend. I don't plan on changing doctors because hopefully this was just an off day.

Last two visits I had to wait a very long time. I had a 3:30p visit, after 30 minutes they brought me into the exam room, around 5pm I saw the Doctor. This happened once before, but it only took an hour .... I really like him, but after waiting 90 minutes I almost walked out of the office.

All good. However, there is always a long delay for the Doctor to come to the exam room. But fruitful when the Doctor settles in with help from his computer information.

I feel that the doctor discounted my questions and would not listen to my concerns about the test results. He a specialist assigned to me during my hospital stay. I would never return to his office

He doesn't seem to remember what he has said in previous visits relating to treatment. He makes me feel very defensive when I ask a question and he just brushes me off - Frankly, I detest him.

[...] excessive time spent in the waiting room, this has happened before also, another problem occurred because not enough blood was drawn for whatever tests were necessary, resulting in me having to make another visit to a lab in agoura hills which is closer to my home.

I have no confidence in this doctor, not because he doesn't have credentials or experience, he makes that clear over and over, but because he has no interpersonal skills. He does not listen to anything I say ever, from the first moment he has interrupted me and followed up with how great of a doctor he is. What amazes me is his ego and how he doesn't have to do tests, listen to my issue, my concerns or even answer my questions without interrupting me first sentence in every time to tell me he is the best. I have been three times, two of which to him and both times he did not explain anything, reluctantly agrees to tests which he does not even tell me what they are testing, take time to hear the very clear things I have found which agitate my condition. He also kept saying "you're not crazy", which tells me more about his narcissism and how people generally react to him. I would be very surprised if he wasn't a narcissist. Ive left there each time with him feeling like wasted time, money and had to listen to how awesome he is and how ignorant I am in passive aggressive and overtly blatant claims. I know i'm ignorant, that's why i'm there, I want to understand and explain with a give and take. He is completely detached from connecting to a patient. At the end he tries some lame jokes and chummy fist pumping, insult to injury. I will not be scheduling a return to him. I definitely have already warned others.

I have been a patient of Dr. Eisenburg's for over 30 years and have never had a problem. Being an RN sometimes a provider will ask what you want them to do. This is where I find Dr. E the best. He is aggressive and treats me like a patient NOT an RN. He also is a good listener and very personable. I appreciate this. Gone are the days of the doctor that has time to listen.

I find Dr. Eisenberg to be rude and dismissive. Maybe he's joking, but I find his comments and tone very off-putting. If I had a recurring medical condition and had to see him more often than every 6 months, I would change doctors.

this doctor Eisenbergh .. is a RUDE AWFUL human being I came to him to council about bringing my husband in for care.. my husband was bedridden at the time.. so I came to speak to him about what needs we were looking for before I dragged my husband out of bed to him .. rather than explain that he didn't work like that.. he talked over me.. insulted me.. and made me cry ... then he saluted me and marched out the door
