Radiation Oncology

Providence Holy Cross Cancer Center offers a full range of radiation treatment options providing state-of-the-art therapy including: Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiotherapy, and coming later this year high dose rate (HDR) and low dose rate (LDR) brachytherapy and stereotactic radiotherapy. With nearly half of all cancer patients receiving radiation treatments at some time during their disease, many of our patients have had their cancers treated successfully with fewer side effects and preservation of normal tissue function. Our interdisciplinary and integrated care is given in close consultation with pathologists, oncologists, and surgeons.

One such partnership is with Alliance Oncology Services - dedicated to partnering with hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers to develop community based, state-of-the-art cancer centers and deliver the highest quality patient care.

Partnership with UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology
Since May 2009, the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology has been providing professional physician services at the Providence Holy Cross Cancer Centers in Mission Hills and Santa Clarita. This relationship with the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology provides our Providence Holy Cross patients with access to high quality clinical care and cutting-edge radiation therapy associated with the renowned academic medical center. Their extraordinary patient care team leaders consist of innovative physicians, medical physicists and research scientists. For decades, radiation researchers at UCLA have had a pre-eminent international reputation in advancing our understanding of the natural biology of cancer and its cure by radiation therapy.
