Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Ekejiuba grew up and obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from Abia State University College of Optometry, Nigeria in 1998. She migrated to United States later on that year to join her husband and attend medical school. Dr. Ekejiuba completed her internship and residency in Family medicine with extensive inpatient and outpatient experience in primary care.
Her passion includes preventive medicine and being a very strong advocate for her patients by educating and empowering them to become more informed, involved and active in attaining and maintaining optimal health.
Dr. Ekejiuba is friendly, loves to socialize and spend time with her husband and three kids. She is very active in Children's ministry and in the choir at her church.
The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety. However, language that may contain profanity, slander, libel or private health information is removed.
