Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety. However, language that may contain profanity, slander, libel or private health information is removed. Comments reflect the views and opinions of patients. Comments are not endorsed by, nor do they necessarily reflect the views of, Providence.

My visit at Dr Dugal office took over two hours to be completed, most spending time there was in the waiting room. They need to improve these delays !!!!! It always happens.

Very little bedside manner. Did not feel comfortable at all with this provider.

I waited a long time in the chair to be seen. this was my appointment in May. I had to reschedule for the july appointment. it took 3 weeks for me to get another appointment.

I'm satisfied.

I had an emergency eye issue and was taken care of on the same day and again 2 days later. the office was very kind to fit me in and the Doctor was professional and friendly. I was referred by an Urgent Care facility. I highly recommend this office and Doctor.

prompt, knowledgeable, kind and caring

I was able to get an appointment right away, The physician was professional, very knowledgeable, and answered all my health questions and concerns. Very pleased and will refer this physician to family and friends.

Dr Dugal paid attention to my queries and answered appropriately.

Very courteous and very helpfull

The wait time is long. I usually wait 45 min. in the lobby then the appointment takes another hour, sometimes my exam takes 3 hours due to wait times. Otherwise, the care is excellent.

Dr. Dugel has been an excellent physician for very many years. I'm extremely thankful that I have a physician of that caliber. He is kind, courteous, polite and is very attentive to my needs as a patient. Thanks a million Dr. Dugel!

Excellent, caring, involved and patient.

had very good experience with this provider

He has an excellent reputation in the medical community

I was very disappointed with the glass for reading were made & I could not read with them. We returned the glasses and got a refund. Dr. Dugel checked the glasses & said after [...] glasses correction was right & had sent [...] to a retinal doctor.

I want to thank Dr Raj Dugel. I already thanked him personally, but he may have saved my life! He had me in his office for over 3 1/2 hours because I was a medical emergency. He was personally on the phone for sometime trying to get me to see a neurologist. When it became evident this may not happen, he called my insurance personally to approve a MRI with and without contrast and hospital stay. I went straight to the ER in Torrance Memorial Hospital. My eyes were still dilated and his patient staff took my phone to get an UBER for myself. I stayed in the hospital and had many tests, including a spinal tap. I went to see Dr. Dugel thinking I may have be going blind. And after being tested for lymphoma, I am being told by my neurologist I probably have the early stages of MS!!! I had bloodwork recently to rule out so many other things. And now waiting for those results. I can not say enough how Dr. Dugel made me feel. I wasn't only his patient, he truly made me feel like he cared. He even called me at the hospital to see how I was doing. And once again earlier in the week. He and his staff are truly wonderful. And I willrefer all my friends and family to his business. Thanks again Dr. Dugel. You have a lifelong customer!

I was referred by [...] MD to Dr. Dugel. You're lucky to have both in your system.

shows concern and is friendly and knowledgable

i felt the doctor was trying to sell eyeglasses while my eyes were dilating. not comfortable and did not receive my prescription from eye exam

Care excellent for my mom, now I will like to get care for myself.

Problem with long wait for new glasses (2 1/2 weeks) Long 2 1/2 week wait for new lenses. Still need adjustment

Some doctors do not respond to their emails. This sucks as this is the 21st century and we should be exchanging info this way rather than wasting each other's time with an unnecessary visit.

I believe these people are doing the best they can. Since there is really not much wrong with me, what can they do?

I did not have a bad experiences with his care provider

[...] the doctor was very rude, wouldn't give me a RX for glaucoma because he wanted me to go off of it and see what my pressure was without it! [...] He showed no concern about my optic nerve. I left there FURIOUS. I have seen ophthalmologists for 20 years now. [...] I wasted all that time and money and am still having problems with my eyes. This doctor does NOT has the lowest unprofessional, neglectful standard of care that I Can't believe he is part of Little Company of Mary's network of Doctors.
