Providence Tarzana Gala Raises Funds for Pediatric and Neonatal Units
The Globe Theatre at Universal Studios provided the backdrop for Providence Tarzana Foundation’s Sixth Annual Gala on July 16th, where 350 people gathered for an evening of dinner, dancing and auctions. The most successful gala in the Foundation’s history, the event raised over $270,000 in support Providence Tarzana Medical Center's Pediatrics Department, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Susan and Robin Richards, founders of the Chase Foundation, were honored as 2016 Humanitarians of the Year by presenters Scott Brewster, MD, and Fred Scholder. The Chase Foundation established Providence Tarzana's Chase Place Pediatrics Childlife Playroom. Gary Dosik, MD, also was recognized as the Murray Mazur, MD, Memorial Physician of the Year.
Meteorologist Josh Rubenstein of 2CBS/KCAL9 News emceed the evening, which included an invocation from Rabbi David Woznica of Steven Wise Temple, and a presentation from PTMC CEO Dale Surowitz on the $624 million “Providence Tarzana Reimagined” initiative.
