Biography

Sally Frankl, M.D., has been practicing medicine for more than 25 years. She was inspired to become a physician by seeing how her own doctor cared for patients. Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Frankl chose Stanford University for her undergraduate degree, but returned to her home town for medical school.

Dr. Frankl supports and maintains close relationships with her patients. Her expertise is in general internal medicine.

In her personal time, Dr. Frankl and her husband enjoy traveling, skiing, foreign films, backpacking, cooking, entertaining, and visiting her two college kids in Berkeley. She also loves reading and has been a member of her book club for 20 years.

the clinic that did the blood testing was awful. I waited 20 minutes then was informed being 3 Rd in line it would be another 30 minut s. the waiting room was full and many were sick. I left and went to the west hills location a couple days later

I feel communication between my provider and me is, as good or better than communication with my friends. We seem to be on the same wave length. GOOD to have with your medical care provider!

the office is very busy and does not have a personal feel to it. It makes you feel like you are just another person going through. I think the care is good, just not personal.

The front office staff could not negotiate the new computer system, my appointment time was changed but I kept getting calls for the appointment I cancelled. The staff was not properly trained on how to use the system, as change in an organization requires more than minimal training, as this just makes the patient feel that he is not the focal point of this busness, but rather, being used for some other reason. I am not against technology, but it cannot replace the human touch, which your system only diminishes the actual quality of care received, as the entire staff's main goal is the stupid system. It is not like no one got good care, before and no patients asked for this, as my appointments for the last 10 years were never screwed up on the old system. I feel used, not like a customer, which is the cornerstone of all businesses, however doctors may not see it this way, surely, your business doesnt, at Providence. My prescriptions thru your new system were not good and they messed them up, I have had to go back 4 times. I had to get a replacement med cause one of the carriers wanted a 500% increase for the prescription, and I faxed in a request as I had no confidence that I could speak to the doctor's assistant. I never got any call back and I went to the pharmacy, to pick up a prescription that was not ever ordered--and found out that a new prescription was ordered for me but I was not ever told and it was not a pill, so I did not take it. THIS IS [...] SERVICE FOR A DOCTOR'S OFFICE....as a patient, should I not be the reason the whole staff is there, would you want this kind of service for your loved one's...so I do not have a necessary medication and no one followed up...if I wanted to be treated like cattle, I would have signed up for [...]

odd situation, new receptionist quite cold and asked me twice in one minute if i was done with my paperwork. other patients in area even commented. then, dr, who i adore,apologized for not having enough time bc i was late. i told dr i was NOT late. my appointment was at 1, i was there just before 1, BUT i was supposed to have been toldtocome 15 minutes early to do paperwork so i would be ready to see dr herslf at 1. ( btw, i do not think dr rushed, we still had ample time to discuss my stuff.

Sally Frankl has been my physician since the late 1990's. I am very fond of her. She has been with me through 2 serious health issues. She has always returned a call even after hours if I had need of her.

dr Frankl has been very accurate in her assessments and very proactive in treatments she thought necessary.

Follow up on any and all requests (copy of labs, call back from dr, call regarding labs, follow up on lab results took longer than promised) always took longer or never occurred. I've made multiple requests via calls and visits which never were addressed timely or at all.

for being a first time patient, I felt this doctor seem uninterested in what I had to say. We don't have the same beliefs, I am more of a natural medicine kind of patient, she did not seem open to that instead she took the time to tell me that there is no medical proof that stuff works. If that "stuff" makes me feel better without any side effects then I say that stuff really works! I will be looking for a different doctor. Just difference of opinion, that's all.
