Driver Rehabilitation Program

Our comprehensive Driver Rehabilitation Program is designed to help individuals needing specific skill building, modifications, or practice to return to safe driving due to injury, illness or age-related changes. Driver Rehabilitation is an on and off road assessment and training program designed to help individuals return to independent driving. This program is not typically covered by many insurances.

Big and Loud Program

Our specialty trained physical and speech therapists provide advanced assessment and treatment for Parkinson patients and patients with Parkinson-like movement disorders.

Providence provides a faith-based environment to care for each patients physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Though the “patient” may have experienced the illness or injury, the impact is broad-reaching involving families, friends, and hired caregivers. Providence is committed to supporting each person through the Rehabilitation process and provides a variety of resources to support both the patient and their family.

Love on 4 Paws

Love on 4 Paws is an animal-assisted therapy program in which calm, friendly, loving and well behaved dogs visit patients, families and visitors to aid in the healing process. The program is composed of teams of volunteers and their certified therapy dogs who visit the program on a periodic basis to interact with Rehabcentre patients in our inpatient medical rehabilitation program and our outpatient program. Therapy dogs and their handlers may even assist during a treatment to provide a stimulating.

Life after stroke and brain injury can bring up many questions and concerns, both for patients and their loved ones.

Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro is pleased to offer a free Stroke/Brain Injury Support Group to individuals who have been affected by stroke or brain injury. This group offer participants an informal and supportive setting where they can share concerns, fears and experiences.

Benefits:

  • Learn from others who have personal experience living with Stroke or Brain Injury
  • Discuss issues such as the impact of the diagnosis, coping with emotions, and access to community resources in a caring and confidential environment.

Breast Cancer Support Group

Every Tuesday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. excluding holidays

Facilitator: Cancer Support Community

A support and educational group for women diagnosed with breast cancer is available every Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. No reservation is necessary to attend. Sessions are offered in the DeMucci Center on the Medical Center Campus.
