Our Psychiatric Services Team
The Bridges Team is a caring group of professionals from a variety of health disciplines. Their experienced care is coordinated by social workers, under the direction of your physician. Since no two patients are alike, the team develops a personalized treatment plan for each individual patient, based on his or her specific needs and problems. Patients are periodically evaluated to see whether established goals have been met. Family involvement is encouraged.
Bridges Team members include:
Psychiatric and Medical Physicians
All patients are under the care of both a psychiatric and medical physician, to insure that all of their health needs are met. These doctors will work in concert, involving other specialists when needed, to be certain that each patient has the highest quality medical and psychiatric care.
Our interdisciplinary treatment team delivers top-quality care on the Bridges Psychiatric Unit. Our Nurse Manager, Charge Nurses, Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants are utilized as appropriate to meet patient care requirements. Our 24-hour care delivery system adjusts staffing to meet our patient's needs.
Responsible for the management of all Behavioral Health Services, both inpatient acute and outpatient and provides the supervision of the day-to-day operations and activities.
The charge nurse on each shift has 12-hour accountability and responsibility. The charge nurse is responsible for assigning care and oversees the care of the other RNs and CCTs, public relations and staff support. The charge nurse serves as role model and resource person for the assigned shift.
Responsible for providing nursing care, using the nursing process: Ongoing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation and the outcomes of care from admission to discharge.
Bridges assures that each patient's treatment is coordinated by a professional with advanced training in the field of mental health. Our social workers provide stimulating group therapy, ongoing case management and assure communication and coordination through discharge. In order to obtain optimal treatment outcomes, our social workers encourage the involvement of family members, caregivers and placement personnel.
Psychiatric Support Professionals
Therapeutic activities specialists, physical therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, dieticians, chemical dependency specialists and occupational therapists are just some of the support professions that make up our adjunctive services.
Spiritual care is integrated into each patient's individualized treatment plan. Bridges provides ecumenical spiritual care to all patients and Holy Communion is given to Catholic patients upon request.
