He is the co-director of the Lipid Clinic, Section of Endocrinology, the co-director of cardiovascular risk prevention, Diabetes Clinic, and co-director of cardiovascular prevention clinic, Section of Cardiology, at the Greater Los Angeles Veteran Affairs Healthcare System in West Los Angeles.
In addition, Dr. Streja is a clinical professor in the sections of Endocrinology and Cardiology in the department of Medicine at UCLA Medical School. He continues to be active in research, has published 46 papers, has co-authored four textbooks and is medical director of Infosphere Clinical Studies where he oversees research studies related to endocrinology and cardiovascular prevention.
The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety. However, language that may contain profanity, slander, libel or private health information is removed. Comments reflect the views and opinions of patients. Comments are not endorsed by, nor do they necessarily reflect the views of, Providence.
