Providence Health Magazine
I grew up in Jackson, Mississippi. My father, who was a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon, inspired me to become a compassionate physician.
During my high school summers, I enjoyed working at my father's office. I enjoyed listening to patients, learning about their stories, and tackling their health concerns. These experiences were the seeds of my love for medicine. Now, I am able to be a part of the most amazing stories of women's lives like birth, menstruation and menopause. As an obstetrician/gynecologist, I aspire to bring a spirit of trust, details and kindness to each story.
I am married to Kay Madati. We have a daughter named Morgan.
I enjoy cooking, scrapbooking, running and traveling across the world.
The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety. However, language that may contain profanity, slander, libel or private health information is removed. Comments reflect the views and opinions of patients. Comments are not endorsed by, nor do they necessarily reflect the views of, Providence.
