David Mok, M.D., has always had a passion for math and science. During his studies for a bachelors degree in electrical engineering at Princeton University, Dr. Mok became interested in the production and effects of electrical signals in the body. Electrophysiology continued to interest him in medical school and in his training to become a cardiologist.
Dr. Mok enjoys applying new technology to improve the health of his patients. He believes technology and medicine complement each other in the treatment and management of arrhythmia, which is a malfunction of the hearts electrical system.
Dr. Mok is married with two children. He is an avid snowboarder and enjoys photography, cycling and playing the guitar.
The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety. However, language that may contain profanity, slander, libel or private health information is removed. Comments reflect the views and opinions of patients. Comments are not endorsed by, nor do they necessarily reflect the views of, Providence.
