Dr. Herrera chose medicine as her profession because she always had a great interest in helping people, in serving our society, and in being an active member in the preservation and restoration of health.
She also has a great interest in teaching having earned a degree in Mexico in education, prior to pursuing a medical degree.
As a physician, Dr. Herrera's goal is to not only treat her patients but also to educate them. She is a firm believer in preventative healthcare.
Since moving from Mexico, Dr. Herrera has lived in Los Angeles and now resides in Carson. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, running and watching live music.
What Dr. Herrera enjoys most about being a family practitioner is creating interpersonal relationships with her patients in an arena that focuses on the family unit.
The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety. However, language that may contain profanity, slander, libel or private health information is removed.
