Heart and Vascular Care Specialists
Our award-winning Heart and Vascular Specialists, combined with the latest medical technology, help us take care of your heart-from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation.
Our heart specialists use non-invasive diagnostic testing designed to measure the heart's performance, pinpoint problems and accurately identify the most appropriate treatment. They are highly skilled in invasive diagnostic and interventional therapies including medical and surgical procedures such as angioplasty, atherectomy and stents. These procedures are designed to prevent or stop a heart attack in progress, or to correct other heart problems such as angina (chest pain) and stroke.
Providence Holy Cross is one of the few hospitals in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys to offer minimally invasive heart valve surgery - routinely performed at fewer than 20 hospitals in California. The Chest Pain Centers at Providence Holy, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center and Providence Tarzana Medical Centers Cross are all STEMI Receiving Centers, meeting guidelines established by the American Heart Association and approved by the Los Angeles County Department of Emergency Medical Services.
All three Medical Centers have developed heart arrhythmia evaluation and management programs focused on addressing abnormal heart rhythms that may result in sudden cardiac death or diminished quality of life. Our programs are recognized as leaders in arrhythmia treatment and set the standard for the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys.
Our cardiac surgery services include traditional open-heart surgeries such as coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) and heart valve repair and replacement, as well as off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCAB), minimally invasive mitral valve repair surgery and transfusion-free cardiac surgery.
